Need for Speed
Just got back from watching Need for Speed and I loved it. The movie is beautifully shot, all the action sequences are expertly choreographed and the story is very intriguing. Its a classic revenge tale and Aaron Paul is great as always. Need for Speed is so much better than any of the Fast & Furious movies, its not just another dumb action movie. I can’t say enough good things about it. 4/5
Non-Stop
Watched Non-Stop in theaters today and it was not bad at all. It definitely had its cheesy moments and more than a few plot holes but it ended up being better than I expected. Liam Neeson plays pretty much the same character he always plays in these types of movies and the rest of the cast was pretty underused. The best thing about the movie is the mystery surrounding who the real bad guy is, the filmmakers do a great job by keeping you guessing the whole time. Overall its a good not great movie. 3/5
300: Rise of an Empire
Watched 300: Rise of an Empire today and much like the first one the best way to describe the movie is just “badass” plain and simple. The action was great and Eva Green made for an amazing villain. I don’t think its as good as the original but its still very entertaining. If you liked the original you’ll like this one. 3.5/5
RoboCop (2014)
I watched RoboCop today and it was better than I expected. There are a few plot holes but overall its a good movie. Good cast and great action sequences. The movie also brings up a few interesting points on drones/robots and their role in the near future. 3.5/5
Her
Finally saw Her today and it did not disappoint. I thought the movie was brilliant and innovative. A really interesting look at relationships. 4.5/5

I started writing movie reviews at the start of last year. I ended up watching over 31 films in theaters in 2014 and wrote short reviews for almost all of them.
I received some positive feedback from my friends and family members who read the my reviews on Facebook, which lead me to ultimately making this website.
From now on I’ll be posting my reviews here, but I thought It’d be cool to post all the reviews I wrote back in 2014 first. Its really interesting to see how I improved my writing style from the the start of the year until now.
I’ll be posting them chronologically, I hope you enjoy them.
