Guardians of the Galaxy

Watched Guardians of the Galaxy today and it was fucking amazing. I’ll admit I was really looking forward to watching this movie, and I had some pretty high expectations, and it did not disappoint at all. It’s without a doubt my favorite movie of the year and it’s already one of my favorite movies of all time. It’s a perfect blend of action, comedy and drama. This movie will make you laugh, it’ll make you tear up, and it’ll have you on the edge of your seat the entire time. It’s even better than the Avengers and that’s saying something. The whole cast is awesome. Every single one of the 5 main characters is special and loveable in their own way. Zoe Saldana was great and so was Dave Bautista (who honestly surprised me with his comedic chops). Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel nailed their voice overs, they made the characters come to life. I was already a huge Chris Pratt fan because of Parks and Rec, but after this he’s probably now my favorite actor. There isn’t a single wasted scene in the movie, everything has its purpose and every line of dialogue is spot on. You don’t even have to be a fan of the comic books to enjoy this movie (I knew very little about them going in and I still loved it). I can’t say enough good things about it. Honestly the only thing I didn’t like is that it had to end, it was that good. I honestly can’t recommend this film enough, this is the type of movie that everyone can enjoy regardless of age or gender. I loved it so much I’ll probably go watch it in theaters again soon.
